As an assistant social media manager, I contributed to both the creative and strategic efforts involved in growing the brand during its early years. I helped expand the brand’s Instagram presence through a combination of storytelling and data-driven insights. I creatively directed and edited content across photoshoots, social content shoots, and paid media ads. Working on a small team allowed me to wear many hats and gain invaluable experience while executing high-impact work. Because the brand catered to Gen Z, I also tapped into my own knowledge of pop culture and trending topics to keep the content relevant and engaging.
One of the highlights of my role was managing an influencer campaign with over 350 creators, called Thread Beauty University. I oversaw the influencer workflow, ensuring creators were properly briefed and their content aligned with campaign goals. I also acted as an in-house content creator, which allowed the team to jump on trends at a moment’s notice.

For this “Cover It” concealer campaign, I pitched a concept that focused on the stories of the people wearing the product rather than the product itself. Because the brand targets a Gen Z audience, it needed to be humanized in a way that emphasized authenticity over traditional product-driven marketing. In addition to preparing the creative work for the shoot, I also handled the editing for the campaign, including the hero video shown on the left.
