Hi, my name is Lydia Zenaye. I am a social media influencer and corporate content producer. I began my education in molecular biology at UCLA, where I learned how to design experiments and critically use quantitative results to gain qualitative insights. Although my time in the lab ended due to a shift in priorities, the skills I developed there gave me a unique edge in the marketing world.
Combining my analytical mindset, creative prowess, and love of learning, I transitioned into a multifaceted career as a social media professional, working on both sides of the platform as an influencer and a brand manager. Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera, I bring creative ideas to life efficiently, jumping in at any stage to help realize a vision. From trend analysis to ideation, I focused on identifying viral topics and transforming them into engaging videos. As a Creative Content Producer, I oversee the full creative process. I am an integral part of the brainstorming phase all the way to producing and posting daily content that keeps audiences engaged. I’ve developed and written original series tailored for social media, that blends narrative storytelling with strategy. Beyond concepting and writing, I often step in as on-screen talent and lead creative direction during social shoots to ensure each piece feels authentic and cohesive. HOORAE Media consists of 3 different companies, and I handle posting, scheduling, copywriting, and strategy.
Thread Beauty
As an Assistant Social Media Manager, I was deeply involved in the creative and strategic process. I helped grow the brand’s Instagram presence by 37% and increased engagement by 1% in just six weeks through a mix of storytelling and data-driven adjustments. I took part in creatively directing and editing content from photoshoots and collaborating with the team to create phenomenal visuals. One of the highlights of the role was running an influencer campaign with over 350 creators called Thread Beauty University! I oversaw working with influencers to make sure they were briefed and that their content was approved. I also worked closely on paid media campaigns and refined assets based on analytics. I also acted as an in-house content creator, which allowed the company to jump on trends at a moment's notice.
